FAQ
💎 2026 Prom & Formal Wear: Frequently Asked Questions
Sizing & Fit
Q: How do I know which size to order?
A: Formal wear sizing often runs smaller than "street" or "fast-fashion" sizing. We recommend taking your bust, waist, and hip measurements in inches and comparing them directly to our Brand Size Chart. If you are between sizes, we always suggest sizing up. It is much easier for a tailor to take a dress in than to let it out!
Q: Is this dress "Standard" or "Petite" length?
A: Our gowns are designed with extra length to accommodate heels. If you are under 5'6", you will likely need a professional hem. Our fabrics are "tailor-friendly," meaning they can be shortened without losing the integrity of the design.
Q: Does the bodice have built-in support?
A: Most of our 2026 collection features integrated push-up cups and lightweight boning. This provides enough structure to go braless for most cup sizes. For extra security, we recommend high-quality fashion tape.
Fabric & Care
Q: How does the fabric look in flash photography?
A: We use Camera-Ready Satin and high-density pigments. Our "Botanical" and "Metallic" prints are tested under studio lighting to ensure they don't "wash out" or create a harsh glare in your prom photos.
Q: Is the material wrinkle-resistant?
A: We prioritize blended fabrics (like our 3% Spandex-Satin) that resist deep creasing. If your dress arrives with minor shipping folds, a simple cool steam will have it looking red-carpet ready in minutes. Do not use a traditional iron directly on the satin!
Q: Is the fabric itchy or restrictive?
A: No "scratchy" sequins here! Our embellished dresses are fully lined with soft jersey or silk-blend fabrics to ensure you can dance all night without irritation.
Shipping & Returns
Q: When should I place my order to ensure it arrives for Prom?
A: We recommend ordering at least 8–10 weeks before your event. This accounts for shipping time and gives you a 3-week window for any local custom tailoring or hemming you might want.
Q: What if someone else at my school buys the same dress?
A: We know the "Same Dress Fear" is real! While we can't track every school, our exclusive 2026 prints (like the Botanical Noir) are produced in limited runs to ensure your look remains as unique as possible.
Q: What is your return policy for formal wear?
A: We accept returns on unworn dresses with tags attached within 14 days of delivery. Please note that because formal wear is delicate, items must be free of makeup, perfume, or deodorant marks to qualify for a refund.
Style Tip
Q: What shoes work best with a high-slit dress?
A: To maximize the leg-lengthening effect of the split, we recommend a minimalist strappy sandal in a nude or metallic tone. Check out our Style Guide for more accessory inspiration!
